Retro commissioning helps create a cutting-edge CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practice) facility

In our preliminary audit, Albireo found discrepancies in the installation of the controllers including problems with wiring, setup and programming. Frustrated with the original vendors’ inability to fix issues, Takeda elected to remove all of the controllers and start over.

Our team was contracted to retro commission both R&D buildings with Delta Controls. Electrical retrofitting was done at night (when the building had fewest occupants), and cut overs were completed at scheduled times to minimize disruption. Retro commissioning took a year to complete, yet no hardware or operational issue appeared in either building. A weekly service agreement that includes ongoing preventative maintenance is an effective solution to maintain operational integrity.
